Puppy Training Classes
Where are Cwtches puppy classes?
Our Puppy Training Classes are held at the Hatherleigh Community Centre, Newport, South Wales. NP19 8BB.
How long does the classes run for?
The course is a set of 6 puppy training classes. Each class lasting for 1 hour each.
What do you learn during the course?
During the course will take you and your puppy through the foundations of training and socialisation. Examples of exercises are;
- Positions (sit, down, stand).
- Walking on a loose lead.
- Handling for health checks.
- Play biting.
- Food and chew bone manners.
- And much more.
How old does your puppy need to be to start classes?
Cwtches Puppy classes are designed for puppies aged 20 weeks or less, on the start date of the course, and needs to be vaccinated to attend class.
What else do you need to know?
Only reward based training methods are used. Treats, toys and praise are used to encourage puppies to be well behaved. No bullying or rough handling is tolerated.
The puppy training exercises gradually progress from easy to more complex, building on your puppy’s understanding and reliability each week.
As well as the 6 puppy classes, you can benefit from after class support via phone or email if you need it.
If you are unable to attend group classes or feel that this group environment will not be suitable for your puppy, you may want to consider one to one training, which takes place at your own home at convenient times for you.

(*please note: during the course starting 3rd December, we will have a break for the Christmas and New year holiday and will continue back in January. During the break we can keep updated via the private Facebook group if required).
